Kathryn Allen - Guitar

Kathryn Allen, B. A.

Piano, Guitar, Voice

Kathryn began playing piano at age 7, and will never cease yearning to learn more. She won her first music award in 5th grade for an original song. Kathryn holds a BA in Theatre Arts with a Minor in Music from Meredith College. She also completed the curriculum for Audio Engineering at UNC-Asheville. With seven years of collegiate level music education, she works to be a well rounded musician, with the goal to inspire young minds to love music as she does. She has lead as well as performed in many musical groups, from choirs to theatrical music direction to local bands. In addition to her involvement in local theater groups Kathryn also teaches piano, voice and guitar for SAS Music.

Matthew Luce

Matthew Luce, B.A.

Piano and Voice Instructor
Versed in all things theatrical, Matthew Luce has been acting in plays and musicals throughout the Atlanta metro area for over 10 years. In addition to his theatrical pursuits, Matthew has been singing and playing the piano from a young age. He graduated from Reinhardt University in 2015 with a degree in Theatre after studying under experienced professors and musicians from around the country, including Broadway pianist Julie Bearden Carver, and professional Chicagoan actor David Nisbet. Matthew's experience with music started in middle school when he joined band as a trombonist, but after a while he felt he wanted to try something a bit more accessible. Matthew changed over to chorus, and his music education really took off. It wasn't long after that he auditioned for a musical on a whim, and realized he'd found his passion. Since then, Matthew has sung in school and local choirs including The Cherokee Chorale in Canton. Piano lessons soon followed, and his passion for music only increased. He's now been playing the piano for a decade, and singing non-stop even longer! Music is Matthew's passion, and sharing it with others has been an incredible journey that's really only just begun. Where words fail to express emotion, the music begins.

  • Notables: Starring roles in over 15 musicals and theatrical productions in the Atlanta area including: The Drowsy Chaperone, You're A Good Man Charlie Brown, The Mystery of Edwin Drood, and Jekyll & Hyde. Irene Ryan Acting Award (KCACTF) Nominee for Guys & Dolls. Member of the International Thespian Society. Experienced director and production designer for shows ranging from Shakespeare to Kander & Ebb.
